Emily Stipcak is a self-taught artist living in New York. She is often inspired by things that are odd or grotesque, as well as things of magic and beauty. Hence the somewhat oxymoronic name “Ethereal & the Macabre”, otherwise known as “EM”.

As a fantasy fanatic (shocker), Emily loves to imagine how some of her favorite books might come to life, whether that be as a painting, a costume, or something else entirely. You’ll find that her inspiration often comes from the struggles and growth of her favorite characters, and how their stories may pertain to the real-life struggles of many. But sometimes, she just wants to paint a pretty picture. It’s called balance.

Emily has big plans for the future, and she has a lot of learning to do on her journey, but she hopes you’ll follow along with her as she grows, and that you'll enjoy the art she creates along the way.
